New format for the Top 10 this week as we launch it on our Twitter and Facebook first – then land it here like a 747 on the website to preserve it for posterity’s sake!
Canada’s own Kathleen Edwards joins the chart and comes in at #10 with “Options Open” – Kathleen’s album hits August 14th and her smooth vocals have us anxious to hear more!
Our second Top 10 newbie this week is at Number 9 and is Logan Ledger “(I’m Gonna Get Over This) Some Day”. Logan’s got 70’s style from top to bottom. I think I have the same winter coat he sports in the video – smooth style Logan!
The Jayhawks are an Americana From the Flatlands go-to up in the Cabin and they enter at #8 this week. Gary, Marc and Karen give us “This Forgotten Town” and I’d be more than happy to have them visit my unforgotten home anytime!
Always an Americana favorite in the Flatlands…Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit unleash “Be Afraid” at Number 7 on the Top 10. Bold call to action from a bold man – take it to heart!
Number 6 on our Americana Top 10? Marcus King Band “One Day She’s Here” – Allman smooth from top to bottom – Marcus treats 2020 to a dose of southern comfort!
Number 5 on this week’s Top 10! How about some Courtney Marie Andrews “It Must Be Someone Else’s Fault”. Courtney Marie wears her heart (and her influences) on her sleeve and we love the look of it!
Americana From the Flatlands loves them some Sarah Jarosz and she hits Number 4 with “Johnny”. A top 10 voice delivers like ice cream on a hot Summer day!
Haven’t been able to get enough of John Craigie “Don’t Ask” lately – add some great piano and organ to John’s signature groove and you’ve got a spectacular tune – lands at Number 3
This guy’s a superhero to those hanging in the Cabin for the Top 10 – Nathaniel Rateliff pulls the cape away from “Time Stands” as the wind blows through his hair at Number 2. This tune will definitely stand the test of time – give it a listen!
And who’s Number 1 this week?? How about American Aquarium with “The Luckier You Get” for the 2nd week in a row? We’ll keep lookin’ through the glass if we can keep hearing great tunes like this one – enjoy!
